Life Is Strange Episode 4 Is Imminent!

Just one more day until the weekend! Today I have some very exciting new to bring you as we have learnt that the latest episode of Life Is Strange will be available next week!

Titled “Darkroom”, episode 4 of DontNod Entertainment’s teenage mystery story drops on July 28th and I couldn’t be happier! I have loved Max’s story so far and can’t wait to jump back in. Ever since the cliff-hanger in Episode 3 I have been itching to find out what happens next. As this is the penultimate episode, expect there to be more twists, turns and cliff-hangers!

In addition to the release date, Square Enix has revealed that Life Is Strange has passed the 1 million sales mark. This is a great landmark for the game to hit, and I expect those sales numbers to increase once the entire season is available. If you haven’t given this game a chance yet, I really recommend that you do.

Talking of Square Enix, President Yosuke Matsuda has been sharing his thoughts on new IPs with Kotaku. Apparently Matsuda must believe in the saying ‘third time’s a charm’ as he revealed that a new IP won’t get their “big break” until their “third title”. I thought this was an interesting quote and probably means we shouldn’t get our hopes up for Watch Dogs 2 then! On the plus side, we have Just Cause 3 to look forward to this December – I can’t wait to play that game.

Activision has today revealed further details about the upcoming beta for Black Ops III — 2015’s annual entry into the Call Of Duty franchise. We already knew that PS4 was getting early access on August 19th, but luckily for PC and Xbox One gamers the wait won’t be long as they will get beta access on August 26th. Each beta will run for 4 days closing on the following Sunday. I have said previously I don’t care for Call Of Duty multiplayer, but there are millions of people that do, so hopefully you will enjoy this taster.

Dishonored: Definitive Edition was announced at Bethesda‘s E3 press conference last month, and I have good news for previous owners of the game. If you owned the digital version of the 2012 title, and would like to replay Corvo’s adventure, you will qualify for a 50% discount on the Xbox One and PS4 versions. What makes this even better, the PS3 and 360 versions have both recently been part of PS+ and Games with Gold respectively, so you should already have downloaded these (if you haven’t then don’t say I didn’t warn you previously). I am super pumped for this as I never got to play Dishonored, but now I can get the Definitive Edition for only £15. I think I will almost certainly do that — although the game does come out 4 days before The Phantom Pain…..

Talking of Metal Gear Solid V: A Phantom Pain, a new poster has been revealed by Kojima today. The image reveals a blood-drenched Snake and Quiet, along with some Japanese wording which translates to: “Stained in blood, the aftermath of revenge.” Not a whole lot more to add other than I’m running out of days to replay the entire series. I’ve replayed Metal Gear Solid, but still got another four titles to go. Maybe I’ll take a week off work…..anyway here is the image:

Finally, and very briefly, here is your link to this week’s update of cars added to the Forza Motorsport 6 list. A lot of Ford cars include this time around — we already know that Ford has a close partnership with this game, including the new Ford GT being the cover star. In addition, it was confirmed that Connecticut’s Lime Rock Park was being added to the track list.

I’ll be back tomorrow to close out the week.
