CD Projekt Red Want To Go Big!

We already know that CD Projekt Red are hard at work on Cyberpunk 2077, and apparently they have some very big plans in store…

Cyperpunk 2077, CD Projeckt Red’s upcoming sci-fi RPG is going to be much larger than that of the developers last game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In a recent interview, visual effects artist Jose Teixeira said, “Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before… far, far bigger.” We still don’t know much about Cyperpunk 2077, and we won’t be seeing it until at least 2017. I can’t fathom how intimidating a game it will be though, especially if it is going to make The Witcher 3 look small! I spent 50+ hours with The Witcher 3 earlier this year, and barely scratched the surface of that game!

Halo 5: Guardians is now less than 3 weeks away from release. Unfortuantely, players who are keen to get their hands on the Forge Mode — the game’s map-editing tools — will have to wait a little longer. In a recent blog post, 343 Industries confirmed that “the biggest evolution” to Forge Mode will be available in December. The trailer below shows the potential to Forge, which can be used on any Arena or Breakout map. I’m never any good at using these tools, but I’m sure the community will come up with some fantastic map variations.

It has been over three years since we saw a core Resident Evil game — and even some would say that Resident Evil 6 was a mis-step — but our wait could soon be over. While we have nothing concrete from Capcom, veteran producer Masachika Kawata has told us to “stay tuned.” It seem inevitable that we will get another core game eventually, in addition to all the spin-offs we have had, but I really hope that the series returns to its horror roots. I will be sure to bring you any details as soon as they are announced!

I was very excited when Mafia 3 was confirmed by 2K back in August this year. In the latest issue of Game Informer, creative director Haden Blackman shared some details about the game, including that it will feel like “a true Mafia experience and a true Mafia story.”

“People are worried that we are just ignoring Mafia II, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. From a narrative standpoint, we are absolutely committed to making sure a lot of your questions about Mafia II are answered in Mafia III.”

I personally can’t wait to enjoy a Mafia game again. I loved the first game on PC, but probably didn’t give Mafia II the time that I should of. By the sound of things, I may need to revisit the story before settling down with Mafia III.

Closing out the news, and we have a new car pack for Forza Motorsport 6. I wouldn’t always mention game DLC, but when it’s Forza and comes with a limousine it is hard to ignore! The Logitech G Car Pack is the first of six monthly car packs that the game will receive, each containing seven cars per pack. If you plan on picking up all six packs, make sure you check out the car pass — the £24 works out far cheaper than the £6 per pack.

That’s all for today.
