It Is Time To Explore The Wasteland!
Fallout 4 is finally here and the wasteland of Boston is just waiting to be explored!
So after months of waiting I finally got to play Fallout 4 and I’m liking what I’ve seen so far. While reviews for the open-world title have been mostly positive, some people are bemoaning the underwhelming visuals and number of bugs within the game. Despite the vocal minority it appears that Fallout 4 is already breaking records, the RPG became the most concurrently played game on Steam. Fallout 4 registered figures earlier today of 445,000 concurrent players, breaking the previous record of 300,000 held by GTA V. We should note that these figures only include games not developed by Valve — Counter-Strike and Dota 2 way exceed these figures. Anyway, we will be sure to bring you a Let’s Play before the week is out with our first impressions on the game.
EA Sports has confirmed that a new UFC title is in the works. UFC 2 will be making its way onto PS4 and Xbox One in Spring 2016. The increasingly popular mixed martial arts genre was always likely to get a sequel — EA has been looking for a fighting game to replace their previous Fight Night franchise. The trailer, which can be seen below, promises to bring a host of new features and improvements to the franchise. It also appears to indicate that there will be a focus on your training outside the octagon. If you haven’t played the original title and want to check it out, it is currently in the EA Access vault.
Is it possible that the release date for Dark Souls III has been accidentally revealed? Twitter user Wario64 has shared images of two Geekay Games listings, Dark Souls III the Collector’s Edition and Prestige Edition. Appearing in both images is an April 12th release date, which would tie in with the April window we have previously been given. It appears that the Collector’s Edition will come with a 25cm Red Knight figurine, while the Prestige Edition comes with a 40cm Lord of Cinder figurine. If this is to be the correct date it will slot into April nicely, one week after Quantum Break.
We spoke last week about the pending launch of backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. Well here is the official list of the first 100+ games that will be available on the service, starting later this week. Popular games included are: Borderlands, Just Cause 2, Mass Effect, Mirror’s Edge, and Fallout 3. It was also revealed that titles such as Bioshock, Call Of Duty Black Ops, and Halo Reach will be coming soon. Hopefully publishers will allow more of their games to be added to this feature over the coming months. Still no word on Red Dead Redemption 😦
Who remembers the Star Wars: Battlefront PS4 console that was announced back in August? At time of announcement I said that I’d consider purchasing the controller if it was sold separately, and it looks like my wish is coming true. Sony has confirmed that the controller will be coming to Europe on November 18th. While pricing hasn’t been confirmed I would expect it to come in at £49.99 — the same price as the 20th anniversary edition controller. As much as I like this controller, I can’t really justify purchasing it….I already have three PS4 controllers!
