Star Wars Battlefront DLC Details

Following EA’s £40 season pass for Star Wars Battlefront we finally know what gamers will get for their money.

Yes the Star Wars Battlefront website has been updated to reveal exactly what gamers will be getting in the season pass for the upcoming shooter. Included over four expansion packs will be:

  • Over 20 new items including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials
  • 4 additional heroes and villains (exact details to be confirmed)
  • 16 additional multiplayer maps
  • 4 new game modes

In addition to the new features, season pass holders will get access to the content two weeks earlier than anyone else. It has been confirmed that the first expansion pack will release in “early 2016.” Credit where it is due to EA, the amount of content involved is quite sizeable. Whether or not you feel the content is worth your money depends on what you look for in your DLC, but it sounds like each expansion will have plenty to (hopefully) enjoy. Do remember though that you can wait for the packs to be released first, the season pass can still be purchased at a later date!

Halloween may have come and gone but horror fans can mark a new date in their diary as psychological horror game The Park is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Q1 2016.  The single-player experience, which recently released on the PC, puts you in the role of a mother named Loraine who must go in search of her son who has gone missing in a creepy, broken-down amusement park. Reviews for the game appear to be mixed, it currently has a score of 68 on Metacritic, but I like the concept of the game so will have to keep my eye out for this one next year — as long as it isn’t a February release!

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is one of my favourite indie games this year and now the PC version is bringing a new feature to the top-down shooter. On December 10th, PC gamers will have access to an open beta of the game’s level editor. The beta is expected to run until the end of January and in that time players will be able to create their own crazy levels. Unfortunately you won’t be able to incorporate custom music, due to copyright, but I can only imagine how insane some people’s levels will be! Even though I understand that level editors work best with a mouse and keyboard, I hope that when the feature goes live it will make its way over to PS4.

Ubisoft’s The Crew has just released its first big expansion pack. The Crew: Wild Run overhauls the game’s graphics, adds new vehicle classes and dynamic weather, and introduces a new mode called The Summit. The digital download, which will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, is a smart way to try and relaunch the open-world racer almost one year after its initial release. If you don’t want to buy the expansion pack don’t worry, you will still get the visual upgrade as part of a free update. The premise of this game was incredible — having a scaled USA was a great idea — but unfortunately the handling just wasn’t that good in the few hours I spent with it. I would say I’d give The Crew another chance with the new update but realistically I have far too many new games to play, let alone visiting old ones!

Have you ever wanted to go skydiving but just couldn’t draw yourself away from your console? Well Jeff Provenzano has solved that problem with his latest stunt. In partnership with Nvidia and the launch of their new Nvidia Shield Android device next week, Provenzano has jumped out of a plane and played video games as he descended to earth from 10,000 feet! Provenzano jumps out of the plane with a full living room setup, which he eventually parachutes away from. You can check out the video below:

That’s all for today. Until tomorrow,
