PES 2016 Will Soon Become Free To Play!

I hope you all had a good weekend and picked up some good offers over Black Friday. If you didn’t then here is another chance…

Konami has announced that PES 2016 will be getting a free-to-play version for PS4 and PS3. The “entry-level version” will launch on December 8th and will feature Exhibition Mode with seven teams, including the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil, and France. It will also come with Training Mode and MyClub, and supports both online and offline mode. So effectively it sounds like a slightly enhanced Demo, but it will continue to get the content updates that the main game will have over the year. I think this is a smart move by Konami to try and get more people to play their latest football simulation. In terms of reviews it appears the PES might actually be better than FIFA this year, but EA still control the dominant market share. I will definitely give this mode a chance over the Christmas break.

Data miners have discovered that an Ace Combat 7 announcement could be imminent. The information, which was posted on the fan forum, appears to indicate that the reveal will come at Sony‘s PlayStation Experience event. Ace Combat Infinity players will have reason to be excited as it appears that they may be able to unlock Ace Combat 7 emblems to celebrate the game’s announcement. I feel like it has been a long time since we got a decent flight simulation action game. Maybe this will change that, but I wont be sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for this announcement.

One game I’m definitely excited to play is Just Cause 3! Luckily I only have one more day to wait as it releases tomorrow. In anticipation of the game’s release we have a video showcasing just how big the island of Medici is. The 400-square mile open world is given the bird’s eye treat as PlayStation Access take us from one end of the map to the other by helicopter. As you will be able to see for yourself, it is huge! I’m not sure how long this game is going to take to complete, but as long as it is as fun to play as it looks I won’t mind exploring every inch of this world. Hurry up tomorrow!

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is one of the biggest releases scheduled for 2016 and has the A-list duo of Nolan North and Troy Baker starring in the game. In addition to the debuting Baker — he plays Sam Drake, Nathan’s brother — it has been revealed that another big name has joined the Uncharted cast. Laura Bailey, who has performed key roles in such games as Halo 5: Guardians, inFAMOUS: Second Son, Bioshock Infinite, and Tales From The Borderlands, has been confirmed for a role in Naughty Dog‘s latest adventure. Bailey will feature on a panel at PSX with Neil Druckmann (Naughty Dog Creative Director), Troy Baker, Nolan North (Nathan Drake) and Richard McGonagle (Sully) to discuss the motion-capture process and also reveal some “never-before-seen cinematic clips and behind-the-scenes videos.” Whether or not we find out Bailey’s role remains to be seen.

That’s all for today. Until tomorrow,
